Questions
Is the app free?
Yes. Every tool opens for free and there are no ads. One optional in-app purchase, tonal.fm Pro ($5.99, one time), unlocks the all-night sleep timer, every binaural preset, WAV export and hearing test history.
Does the sound keep playing with the screen off?
Yes. Sleep sounds, tones and binaural beats keep playing in the background, with play, pause and the timer on the lock screen.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a single purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Restore it on a new phone from the Pro screen.
I bought tonal.fm Pro for desktop. Does that unlock the app?
No. The desktop file and the mobile app are separate products sold through different stores, so each is bought on its own.
Does the app need an account or collect my data?
No account. The app sends anonymous usage events (which tools are opened) and nothing else; microphone audio for the tuner never leaves your phone. See the privacy policy for details.
