¿Qué es el ruido marrón?

El ruido marrón (o rojo) es una señal cuya potencia cae 6 dB con cada octava: el doble de pendiente que el rosa. El nombre no viene del color sino del movimiento browniano: matemáticamente es su rastro sonoro, la integral del ruido blanco.

Al oído, casi todo se concentra abajo: rumor, retumbo, trueno lejano. Los agudos son tan escasos que prácticamente no hay siseo, y por eso el marrón es el más fácil de escuchar durante horas a buen volumen.

Fondo profundo para dormir y trabajar

El ruido marrón se ha vuelto un fenómeno entre personas con TDAH: miles de testimonios describen cómo el rumor grave y constante "apaga" el ruido mental y permite concentrarse. Los estudios clínicos rigurosos aún son escasos, así que tómalo como un experimento gratuito y sin riesgo; muchos se quedan con él para siempre.

Para enmascarar voces, el marrón es más débil que el blanco: tiene menos energía en las frecuencias del habla. Si el objetivo es tapar conversaciones, empieza por el blanco o el rosa; si buscas un fondo suave y envolvente, el marrón no tiene rival. Ojo: los altavoces del portátil apenas reproducen sus graves; escúchalo con auriculares o altavoces de verdad.

¿En qué se diferencia del ruido blanco y del rosa?

En la pendiente del espectro: blanco = 0 dB por octava (brillante), rosa = −3 dB (equilibrado), marrón = −6 dB (profundo y oscuro). Cuanto más pronunciada la caída, menos siseo y más grave.

¿Ayuda el ruido marrón con el TDAH?

¿Por qué apenas se oye en el portátil?

¿Se puede dormir con ruido marrón toda la noche?

Sí: a volumen moderado es seguro, con las mismas reglas de cualquier sonido de fondo: el mínimo volumen suficiente y comodidad ante todo. A muchos, el fondo grave les ayuda incluso a no despertarse con ruidos bruscos.
