¿La conversión se hace de verdad en mi navegador?

Sí — el archivo se decodifica con la Web Audio API y se recodifica a MP3 con un port a JavaScript del codificador LAME, todo en tu dispositivo. No se sube nada, por eso no hay cola, ni tope de tamaño, ni dudas de privacidad.

¿Qué calidad de MP3 elijo?

192 kbps es el punto óptimo para la mayoría de usos — transparente para la mayoría de oyentes con la mitad del tamaño de 320. Elige 320 kbps para archivar o escucha crítica, y 128 kbps para grabaciones de voz y tamaño mínimo.

¿Convertir reduce la calidad del audio?

Convertir a MP3 es con pérdidas: descarta datos que el codificador juzga inaudibles. A 192–320 kbps la diferencia con el original es inaudible para la mayoría. Convertir de un formato con pérdidas a otro (p. ej. OGG a MP3) acumula dos generaciones de pérdida — vale para el día a día, evítalo para másteres.

¿Qué formatos de entrada funcionan?

Todo lo que tu navegador decodifique: MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A, OGG y, en la mayoría de navegadores, FLAC. Los navegadores no decodifican WMA ni formatos exóticos — para esos hace falta un convertidor de escritorio.
