波形はあるが小さすぎる?
OSのサウンド設定で入力ゲインを上げ、マイクに近づいてください — レベルは距離とともに急速に落ちます。普通に話してメーターがしっかり動き、常に赤に張り付かないのが理想です。

マイクが動いているかどうやって確認する?
テストを開始して普通に話してください。正常なマイクなら波形が動き、レベルメーターが声に反応し、信号を検出するとインジケーターが緑になります。確実に確認するには録音ボタンを: 自分の5秒クリップが聞こえれば、チェーン全体が動作している証拠です。
ブラウザでマイクが動かないのはなぜ?
可能性の高い順に: (1)許可の拒否 — アドレスバーのカメラ/マイクアイコンをクリックして許可。(2)入力デバイスの選択ミス — OSのサウンド設定でデフォルト入力を確認。(3)他のアプリがマイクを占有。(4)OSのプライバシー設定がブラウザをブロック(macOSとWindowsで多発 — 設定 > プライバシー > マイクを確認)。(5)ハードウェアのミュートスイッチやケーブル抜け。

マイクの音が小さいのはなぜ?
まずOSのサウンド設定で入力ゲインを確認してください — デフォルトで低いことがよくあります。距離の影響は絶大で、口までの距離が2倍になるとレベルはほぼ半分に。ヘッドセットや外付けマイクはノートPC内蔵よりずっと大きなレベルが出ます。ここのレベルメーターで位置や設定を比較し、常に振り切れずにしっかり動く状態を目指してください。
再生した声が実際と違って聞こえるのはなぜ?
理由は2つ。普段自分の声は一部を骨伝導で聞いており、他人には聞こえない低音が加わっています — 録音のほうが他人に聞こえる声に近いのです。さらにブラウザの処理(エコーキャンセル、ノイズ抑制)とマイクの品質が音を変えます。このテストはブラウザの処理を無効化し、マイクの生の信号を聞かせます。
